Terms of Service
Last updated September 9, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of PennyRouter, including pennyrouter.com, the API gateway, and any related dashboard, CLI, or agent integrations (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.
1. The Service
PennyRouter is a gateway that sits between your coding agent or application and one or more AI providers. It optimizes the tokens each request sends, manages provider prompt caching, and reports the resulting usage and savings back to you. Savings figures are estimates derived from your own traffic, not a guarantee of any particular result. The Service is provided as-is and is subject to change, including changes to optimization and routing behavior, supported providers, and pricing.
2. Accounts
You need an account to use most of the Service. You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your credentials and API keys confidential, and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized use.
3. Data and content
You retain ownership of the prompts, code, and other content you send through the Service. PennyRouter does not retain the content of your requests or the responses you receive — see our Privacy Policy for details on what we do and don’t keep. You’re responsible for the content you submit and for having the right to send it, including to any third-party AI provider your requests are routed to.
4. Free trial
New accounts begin with a 14-day free trial. We don’t ask for a payment method to start it. When the trial ends, the Service stops until you subscribe — nothing is charged automatically, and the trial does not roll over into a paid subscription on its own. Trials are one per person; we may end a trial early if it’s being used to evade payment.
5. Fees and payment
The PennyRouter subscription is $5.00 per month, billed in advance, covering your account across every machine and API key you use it on. Payments are processed by Stripe; we don’t see or store your card details. You can cancel at any time from your billing portal — cancellation stops the next renewal and your access continues to the end of the period you’ve already paid for. We may change pricing going forward, and we’ll give notice of material changes at least 30 days before they take effect for an existing subscription. Where the Service also offers a pay-as-you-go balance, it is priced and displayed at the time of purchase.
Refunds. If PennyRouter isn’t working for you, email [email protected] within 30 days of a charge and we’ll refund that month in full — we’d rather you had your $5 back than a subscription you’re unhappy with. Beyond that window, fees are non-refundable except where required by law or stated otherwise at checkout. Charges you incur directly with a third-party AI provider under your own API key are between you and that provider; we can’t refund them.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything illegal, or that infringes another party’s rights
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, billing, or access controls
- Reverse engineer or resell the Service without our written permission
- Use the Service to generate content that violates an upstream AI provider’s own usage policies
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
7. Third-party providers
PennyRouter routes requests to third-party AI providers (for example Anthropic, OpenAI, or others you configure). Those providers have their own terms and policies, and their behavior, availability, and output are outside our control. We’re not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of any third-party provider.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don’t warrant that routing decisions, cost estimates, or savings figures will be error-free, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or secure. AI-generated output may be inaccurate — you’re responsible for reviewing it before relying on it.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PennyRouter will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or business arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
10. Termination
You can stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (including Sections 3, 7, 8, and 10) will survive.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, as the Service evolves. If we make a material change, we’ll post the update here with a new “last updated” date. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
